The Kitty is not a source of new money. Every simulated balance comes from explicit Pounces, less prior Purrs. Change the rhythm below and watch the conservation rule hold.
New Pounces make the reservoir grow. The Weekly Purr makes it circulate. If new Pounces stop, continued Purrs distribute 5% of what remains each week. No hidden source appears.

Nine Lives is a proposed peer-to-peer Tezos ritual. One tez opens nine doors: 0.40 tez goes to one peer you choose, 0.025 tez goes to each of eight peers in a public rotation, and 0.40 tez feeds a shared reservoir called the Giant Kitty.
Exactly 0.40 tez goes to the chosen peer, exactly 0.20 tez is divided into eight transfers of 0.025 tez, and exactly 0.40 tez enters the Kitty. Network fees would be additional and are not taken from the one-tez split.
Each Pounce adds 0.40 tez. Once a week the Kitty releases 5% of its pre-Purr balance and retains the rest, so the modeled recurrence is K next = 0.95 × (K + 0.40 × weekly Pounces). At mutez precision, the Purr rounds down and the remainder stays in the Kitty.
The next 20 eligible wallets in the same public, least-recently-paid rotation share it. There is no jackpot or secret draw, and each destination is knowable before the Purr is called.
